Prostate disease Conference provides the scope for opportunities to learn progressed by international scientists and academicians.Prostate disease or prostate cancer is a type of cancer which affects only men, where there is an abnormal or uncontrolled growth of prostate cells. Prostate is a part of male’s reproductive system; it is located in front of rectum and under the bladder. In some men prostate cancer can be slow growing and may live many years without ever having cancer detected. The risk factors of prostate cancer include Age, Genes, Race, Nationality, Diet, Obesity and Smoking and Workplace exposures. Symptoms include pain and difficulty passing urine, frequent need to pass urine and blood in urine or semen. If prostate cancer spreads to other parts of the body, symptoms like weight loss, pain in bones, back pain and loss of appetite are observed. Stages of prostate cancer include stage 1, stage 2, stage 3 and stage 4.Stage 1-cancer found in the prostate only. Stage 2-cancer which is more advanced than in stage 1, but it does not spread outside the prostate .Stage 3-cancer spreads outside the prostate and may spread to seminal vesicles. Stage 4-cancer spreads outside the prostate, to seminal vesicles and to nearby tissues or organs. Once prostate cancer has been diagnosed and staged, the person should discuss with his doctor to choose a treatment plan. The treatment options for men with prostate cancer may depend on the situation. The following are some of the treatment options: Expectant , Surgery , Radiation therapy , Cryosurgery (cryotherapy) , Hormone therapy , Chemotherapy , Vaccine treatment , Bone directed treatment.
