Patient use medicines are vital for the health and the economy. The drug shortages demands attention and collaboration from everyone involved in providing life-saving drugs. This includes both the pharma companies producing brand-name drugs and generic drug manufacturers (whose products accounted for nearly 80 percent of prescriptions filled last year), as well as wholesalers, distributors, pharmacies and healthcare.
