Recommended Conferences for Cardiac arrest

Cardiac arrest

As per available reports about 26 Conference Proceedings, 8 Conferences and 4 relevent journals are published by OMICS International relevant to Cardiac Arrest.

Cardiac arrest also known as cardiopulmonary arrest or circulatory arrest is a sudden stop in effective blood circulation due to the failure of the heart to contract effectively or at all. Medical personnel may refer to an unexpected cardiac arrest as a sudden cardiac arrest (SCA). A cardiac arrest myocardial infarction (also known as a heart attack), where blood flow to the muscle of the heart is impaired. It is different from congestive heart failure, where circulation is substandard, but the heart is still pumping sufficient blood to sustain life.

OMICS International organises 1000+ Global Events every year in Conference series, on Clinical, Medicine, Pharma and Science & Technology every year across USA, Europe, Asia, Middle East, Australia and UK with support from 1000 more scientific societies and Publishes 700+ open access journals  which contains over 100000 eminent personalities, reputed scientists as editorial board and organizing committee members.

Scope & Importance

Cardiac arrest is the sudden loss of cardiac function, when the heart abruptly stops beating. A person whose heart has stopped will lose consciousness and stop normal breathing, and their pulse and blood pressure will be absent. Unless resuscitative efforts are begun immediately, cardiac arrest leads to death within a few minutes. This is often referred to by doctors as "sudden death" or "sudden cardiac death (SCD)."

Ventricular fibrillation is the most common cause of cardiac arrest. Ventricular fibrillation occurs when the normal, regular, electrical activation of heart muscle contraction is replaced by chaotic electrical activity that causes the heart to stop beating and pumping blood to the brain and other parts of the body. Permanent brain damage and death can occur unless the flow of blood to the brain is restored within five minutes. Heart attack is the most common cause of ventricular fibrillation. Less common causes of cardiac arrest include respiratory arrest, choking, trauma, electrocution, and drowning.

Early cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and defibrillation (electrical impulses delivered to the chest to restore normal heart rhythm) are the only way to reverse a cardiac arrest. These lifesaving measures must be instituted within a few minutes after cardiac arrest in order to have any chance of success. For every minute that passes without defibrillation, a person's chances of survival decrease by 7% to 10%. In areas where emergency medical services are able to provide defibrillation within five to seven minutes, the survival rate for cardiac arrest has been reported to be as high as 49%. It is rare for a resuscitation to be successful if more than ten minutes have elapsed following a cardiac arrest.

Market Analysis

The World Heart Federation (WHF) unites 200 members spanning 100 countries in the fight against cardiovascular disease Global Data research predicts the worldwide market for CMD devices will reach $1.2 billion by 2017. The global cardiovascular device industry is growing rapidly and is said that a growth of $15billion is made from 2010-2015 as per BCC research.Products included in this market are electrocardiograph monitoring equipment, which is set to see 4% growth by 2017 to be worth over $410 million.
