Cranioplasty and Craniotomy

As per available reports about 2 relevant journals, 4 Conferences, 2 workshops are presently dedicated exclusively to Craniotomy and about 3 articles are being published on Cranioplasty and Craniotomy.

Craniotomy   is the most commonly performed surgery for brain tumour removal. It also may be done to remove a blood clot (hematoma), to control haemorrhage from a weak, leaking blood vessel (cerebral aneurysm), to repair arteriovenous malformations (abnormal connections of blood vessels), to drain a brain abscess, to relieve pressure inside the skull, to perform a biopsy, or to inspect the brain.

OMICS International Organizes 1000+ Global Events Every Year across USA, Europe & Asia with support from 1000 more scientific societies and Publishes 700+ Open access journals which contains over 100000 eminent personalities, reputed scientists as editorial board and organizing committee members. The conference series website will provide you list and details about the conference organize worldwide. OMICS Group Journals encourages original and well researched articles for publication. With the help of a strong 50, 000 experts as editorial board members and reviewers, OMICS Group journals uphold the standard review process. All the articles submitted for publication are subjected to a blind peer review. Upon incorporating the changes the articles are published online. Once approved for publication, these articles remain archived permanently in their respective repositories. Scope and Importance:

A Craniotomy is the most commonly performed surgery for brain tumour removal.

A Craniotomy is similar to a craniotomy as both procedures involve removing a portion of the skull, the difference is that after a craniotomy the bone is replaced and after a craniotomy the bone is not immediately replaced.

A Cranioplasty is a surgical procedure to correct a deformity or defect of the skull and it is usually performed following a traumatic injury to the skull or after a previous brain surgery such as a craniotomy or craniotomy.    In order to correct the defect the physician may have to use a prosthetic or other synthetic surgical material to complete the procedure.

Market Analysis:

Total hospital charges were calculated for each patient and included the costs associated with the first treatment and those associated with subsequent procedures required for recurrence. Charges were adjusted for inflation. Results: We identified 125 patients surgically treated for CSDH. Twenty-five underwent twist-drill, 56 underwent burr-hole, and 44 underwent craniotomy drainage. The total inflation-adjusted hospital charges averaged $34,497 for twist-drill, $29,082 for burr hole, and $39,082 for craniotomy drainage groups, with no significant difference between the groups. After eliminating 23 bilateral CSDHs, charges averaged $36,791 for twist-drill, $25,706 for burr hole, and $37,192 for craniotomy drainage groups.
