Brighton is a town which is located at south coast of Great Britain. Brighton was called as Bristelmestune. During the war between England and France Brighthelmstone was burnt to the ground by French raiders. Development of the town was encouraged and supported by Prince Regent. To form unitary authority Brighton and Hove were joined which was approved by Queen Elizabeth II as part of the millennium celebrations in 2000. Population in Brigiton is 155,919.
In Brighton we can see St Nicholas Church which is one of the oldest church constructed in 11th centaury it is commonly called as The Mother Church
Brighton consists of 54 schools. Such as University of Brighton and University of Sussex University of Sussex which is established in 1961 which is located between Stanmer Park and Flamer. It has 12,500 student populations out of which 70% students are undergraduates. In world university rankings are has 110th position.
Both universities of Sussex and Brighton formed a medical school, which is known as Brighton and Sussex Medical School.
There are numerous state schools, private schools and faith schools in Brighton city
Thousands of students will gather during spring and summer from all over the Europe to attend the language courses.
