Dr. Takanori Iwata, Tokyo Women's Medical University, Japan presented a paper on “Periodontal regeneration with autologous periodontal ligament-derived cell sheets – A safety and efficacy study in ten patients” Kasumi Barouch, Boston University, USA gave a presentation on “Periodontal considerations in Orthodontic treatment’’. Attila Kaman, University Munster, Germany presented on “All-on-4 concept vs. traditional implant placement methods with 25 years’ experience and over 28,000 dental implants placed"; Dr. Behnam Shakibaie, University of Pennsylvania, USA enlightened the audience with his presentation “Microsurgery in external sinuslifting”; Dr. Dhiraj Panjwani, Manipal College of Dental Sciences, India elucidated on “Indian version of multi theory model: A novel instrument in predicting the initiation and sustenance of brushing behavior among college students in India”;  Dr. Jiin-Huey Chern Lin, National Cheng-Kung University, Taiwan described about “Material properties and clinical performance of a fully resorbable, fast healing-stimulating calcium-based bone substitute”;  Dr. Jebun Nessa, BSM Medical University, Bangladesh explained about the “Effect of tobacco and betel nut on periodontal health in diabetics”, Dr. Aleksandar Gulin, University of Zagreb School of Dental Medicine, Croatia gave the presentation on the “What if….? ”; DR. Ayman Hegab, Al-Azhar University, Egypt presented on “MRI-based determination of occlusal splint thickness for temporomandibular joint disk derangement: a randomized controlled clinical trial ?”; Lolowh Abdulaziz Almogbel, King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences, Saudi Arabia enlightened the audience with his presentation entitled “Medical conditions associated with tooth loss among Saudi adults”.

Dr. Kengo Torii, Nippon Dental University, Japan gave a presentation on “Occlusal disease” on August 31, 2018 in connection with this conference as a curtain raiser to this topic.

This conference was a path breaking opportunity for students too, were given a chance to exhibit their paramount research work through Poster Presentations and discuss the same with the exalted scientists.

All the papers presented at World Dentistry 2018 have been published in the proceedings of the Dental Health: Current Research.
