Plant Genomics Summit 2017 Report

Conference series hosted 7th World Summit on Plant Genomics during July 03-05, 2017 Bangkok, Thailand based on the theme “Frontiers in plant genomics: From discovery to applications”.

Active participation and generous response was received from the Organizing Committee Members, scientists, researchers, as well as experts from Non-government organizations, and students from diverse groups who made this conference as one of the most successful and productive events in 2017 from Conference series.

The conference was marked with several workshops, multiple sessions, Keynote presentations, panel discussions and Poster sessions. We received active participation from scientists, young and brilliant researchers, business delegates and talented student communities representing more than 35 countries, who have driven this event into the path of success.

The conference was initiated with a warm welcome note by Honorable guests and the Keynote forum. The proceedings went through interactive sessions and panel discussions headed by honourable Moderator Dr. Grace Chen, Western Regional Research Center, USA, and Dr. Dragan Skoric, Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts, Serbia for the conference.

The conference proceedings were carried out through various Scientific-sessions and plenary lectures, of which the following Speakers were highlighted as Keynote speakers:

Biotechnology for improved hydroxy fatty acid production in oilseed lesquerella: Grace Chen, Western Regional Research Center, USA

Achievements and further directions in sunflower breeding in the world: Dragan Skoric, Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts, Serbia

Insertion mutagenesis of medicago truncatula and its utilization to identify novel sources of resistance against asian soybean rust: Kirankumar S Mysore, Noble Research Institute, USA

Advanced reference genome of trifolium subterraneum L. reveals loci governing important agronomic traits for biotechnological improvement of forage legumes: Parwinder Kaur, University of Western Australia, Australia

Conference series has taken the privilege of felicitating Plant Genomics 2017 Organizing Committee, Keynote Speakers who supported for the success of this event. Conference series, on behalf of the Organizing Committee congratulates the Best Poster awardees for their outstanding performance in the field of Plant Genomics and appreciates all the participants who put their efforts in poster presentations and sincerely wishes them success in future endeavours.
