  • “Bacteria as true residents in the gastrointestinal tract of commercially reared fish.” by Konstantinos Kormas, University of Thessaly, Greece
  •  “From genes to biocontrol: Unraveling the molecular mechanisms of mycoparasitic fungus-fungus interactions.” by Susanne Zeilinger, University of Innsbruck, Austria
  • “Numerical modeling of the mechanical interaction of a bacterium.” by Raimondas Jasevicius, Vilnius Gediminas Technical University, Lithuania
  • “Insect-derived beneficial microbes for industrial applications.” by Andreas Vilcinskas, University of Giessen, Germany
  • “Biological control of plant pathogens with the use of beneficial bacteria and lytic bacteriophages - fact or fiction?” by Robert Czajkowski, Poland, University of Gdansk, Poland
  • “Participation of bacteria and yeasts in the AIDS process: evolutionary view.” by Vladimir Zajac, Cancer Research Institute of Slovak Academy of Sciences, Slovakia

The conference was well-attended with the majority of participants from Europe. We also welcomed international delegates from China, Mexico, India, Egypt and South Korea as well.

Various sessions were chaired and co-chaired by:
