Metabolomics-2014 Report

On March 24-26, 2014, OMICS at Hilton San Antonio Airport, USA organized its 3rd International Conference and Exhibition on Metabolomics & Systems Biology. This conference was a continued success achieved by OMICS Group Conference towards the advanced and innovative transitions occurring in the scientific field with researchers, university professors, industrialists, business delegates, young research minds and students.

The Conference began with an overwhelming and much applauded opening ceremony by Dr. Jeff Patrick and Dr. Vladimir Bondarenko followed by Keynote sessions. The Keynote speakers for the conference were: Bernd Schneider, Max Planck Institute for Chemical Ecology, Germany, Vladimir V. Tolstikov, Eli Lilly & Company, USA, Chris Beecher, IROA Technologies, USA and Stephen E. Reichenbach University of Nebraska, USA.

Metabolomics-2014 Organizing Committee would like to thank the Moderator of the conference, Dr. Vladimir E Bondarenko, Georgia State University, USA who contributed a lot for the smooth functioning of this event.

OMICS Group International would like to convey a warm gratitude to all the Honorable guests of Metabolomics-2014:

Chris Beecher, IROA Technologies USA

Vladimir V. Tolstikov, Eli Lilly & Company, USA

Jeffrey S. Patrick, LECO Corporation, USA

Carolus Reinecke, Manager of the National Metabolomics Platform, South Africa

OMICS Group, on behalf of the conference, congratulates the Best poster awardees for their outstanding performance in the field of Metabolomics and Systems Biology and appreciates all the participants who put their efforts in poster presentations and sincerely wishes them success in future endeavors.

OMICS Group also took the privilege of felicitating Metabolomics-2014 Organizing Committee, Editorial Board Members of Metabolomics: Open Access,  Journal of Computer Science & Systems Biology and  Global Journal of Technology and Optimization, Keynote Speakers,  Chair and Co-Chairs whose support made conference a great success. The Keynote sessions, introductory speeches by honorable guests, and all the other sessions highlighted the recent advancements, challenges, issues, opportunities, research ideas and innovations in metabolomics and systems biology research, that was reflected by the theme of the conference “Multi-Omic Approaches to Envision the Role of Metabolites in Biological Systems."  The theme embarked upon various topics like Novel approaches in cancer therapeutics, Analytical and bioanalytical techniques, computational biology, proteomics, genomics, metabolomics syndrome which all together  proved to bring about quality presentations.

The supporting Sponsors who continuously show confidence in our conferences were ABSCIEX, Thermo Scientific and Biocrates Life Sciences AG. The luncheon workshop conducted by ABSCIEX at our conference had an overwhelming response.

The best poster presentations were awarded by Dr. Vladimir Bondarenko to:

Richard Chang, Texas A&M University, USA.

Lakshmi Prasuna, University of Hyderabad, India.

Jong Min Choi, Ewha Womans University, Republic of Korea.

Patiolla Madhukar Reddy, GVK Biosciences Private Limited, India.

Wei Xiong, NREL, USA

OMICS Group acknowledges and appreciates the continuous support from all the organizing committee members, chair and co-chair, editorial board members of OMICS Group Journals, speakers, business delegates, students, sponsors, exhibitors, media partners and special thanks to moderator in making this event a great success.

Thank you to everyone for your valuable support and cooperation.
