Nutritional Science-2012 Report
The International Conference & Exhibition on Nutritional Science & Therapy, hosted by the OMICS Group was held on August 27-29, 2012 at DoubleTree by Hilton Philadelphia, USA. Generous response and active participation were received from the Editorial Board Members of OMICS Group Journals as well as from scientists, researchers and leaders from Nutrition & Food Science and students who made this conference as one of the most successful and productive events in 2012 from OMICS Group.
The conference was carried out through various sessions, in which the discussions were held on the following scientific tracks:
- Nutritional Assessment and Basic Requirements
- Nutritional Deficiency and Disease Risk
- Nutritional Disorders and Therapy
- Food Processing and Technical Methods
- Food Science and Technology
- Stage-Specific Nutrition Requirements
- Nutrition and Public Health
- Nutrition, Growth, and Development
- Nanotechnology in Nutritional Science
The response to International Conference & Exhibition on Nutritional Science & Therapy was huge and was attended by about 100 delegates representing 25 countries from different corners of the world.
The conference was initiated with a series of invited lectures delivered by both Honorable Guests and members of the Keynote forum. The list included Robert E. Graham, Lenox Hill Hospital, USA ; Jeffrey Anshel, Ocular Nutrition Society, USA; Elena Timofeeva Laval University, Canada; S. Tsuyoshi Ohnishi Philadelphia Biomedical Research Institute, USA; Melpo Christofidou-Solomidou, University of Pennsylvania, USA; Stephen B. Sondike, West Virginia University, USA; Gloria A. Bachmann, Southern College of Optometry, USA.
All the above mentioned Honorable Guests and Keynote speakers gave their energetic and fruitful contributions at Nutritional Science-2012.
All accepted abstracts have been indexed in OMICS Group Journal of Nutrition & Food Sciences as a special issue. The theme of this conference was on "Analysing New Research Frontiers in Nutritional Science". Based on this, speaker's discussions included many recommendations.
We are also obliged to various outside experts, company representatives and other eminent personalities who supported the conference by facilitating the discussion forums. Our sincere thanks to Organizing Committee Members for their gracious presence, support and assistance towards Nutritional Science-2012, and with their unique feedback, OMICS Group would like to announce the "2nd International Conference & Exhibition on Nutritional Science & Therapy "to be held at DoubleTree by Hilton Philadelphia, USA during July 15-17, 2013.
