The 2nd World Congress on Biotechnology, hosted by the OMICS Group was held on Nov 29 – Dec 01, 2011 in Philadelphia, USA. The Theme for the conference Research and Advancements in Biotechnology was aptly conveyed.
The Researchers, Professors and OMICS Group Editorial Board Member's alacrity sustained the conference making it inspiringly successful event. This annual conclave comprised of 17 Tracks and 73 sessions which started with a grandiose inaugural ceremony followed by a press meet.
Keynote presentations of Dr. Mukesh Verma, National Institutes of Health, USA; Benjamin Yu, AstraZeneca, USA; Dr. Ara Kanekanian, University of Wales Institute Cardiff, UK; Dr. Gerd Schmitz, University Hospital Regensburg, Germany; Prof. J Lodewyk Kock, Industrial Biotechnology UNESCO MIRCEN; Dr. Susan L Bellis, University of Alabama, USA and Dr. Kacy Cullen, University of Pennsylvania, USA were very prolific to the scientific community and inspiringly acquainted us about the current research trends.
The three journals, Journal of Bioremediation & Biodegradation, Journal of Biosensors and Bioelectronics and Journal of Microbial & Biochemical Technology were the cornerstone for the Conference success
