Chronic Diseases 2017 Past Conference Report

International Conference On Chronic Diseases (Chronic Diseases-2017) organised by Pulsus Group was held on August 31-September 01, 2017 at Thon Hotel Bristol Stephanie, Brussels, Belgium. The conference highlighted the theme, “Promote, Prevent, Treat and Care”. It is an annual meeting for the study of recent advancements and management of Chronic Diseases.

The conference was initiated with a warm welcome note from Honourable guests and our special thanks to Dr. Neena Srivastava, King George’s Medical University, India and Dr. Ashim Malhotra, Pacific University Oregon, USA, the Honourable Moderators of the conference who contributed a major part for the success of this event. The conference was marked with the presence of renowned scientists, young researchers, students and business delegates driving the two days event into the path of success with thought provoking keynote and plenary presentations. Active participation and generous response were received from the Organizing Committee Members. Professors, Researchers, and Students from diverse groups made this conference as one of the most successful and productive event in 2017 from Pulsus Group.

The highlights of the meeting were the enlightening keynote lectures from:

·         Hiroshi Bando, Tokushima University and Kitajima Taoka Hospital, Japan on the topic, “Low carbohydrate diet with Morbus (M) value research and medical care including exercise and music therapy”.

·         Krista Burns, American Posture Institute, USA, on the topic, “Prevention Strategies for the Development of Digital Dementia”.

·         Higinio T Mappala, Jose R Reyes Memorial Medical Center, Philippines on the topic, “The Efficacy of Bile Acids in the treatment of Non-alcoholic Steatohepatitis: A 10-year Systematic Review”.

·         Ashim Malhotra, Pacific University Oregon, USA on the topic, “Targeting the cardiolipin biosynthetic machinery in KRAS-mutant pancreatic cancer: A search for novel therapeutics”.

·         Timothy D Law, Ohio University, USA on the topic, “Telemedicine in the Heartland: Managing Chronic Disease from Afar”.

·         Yacov Rofe, Bar-Ilan University, Israel on the topic, “Psycho-bizarreness: The intuitive rational-choice theory of madness”.

 

The conference proceedings were carried out through various scientific sessions and plenary lectures:

·         Title: Postoperative Issues in Patients with Chronic Diseases delivered by Amballur David John, Johns Hopkins University, USA.

·         Title: Preparation for precision medicine: International data sharing practice of two

·         Chinese national data sharing platforms given by Jian Guan, Peking Union Medical College Hospital, China.

·         Title: The risk chart for detection of Dementia individual risk: First step for a personalized prevention protocol shared by Federico Licastro, University of Bologna, Italy.

·         Title: Human herpes virus type 8 in patients with cirrhosis lectured by Cheng-Chuan Su, Tzu Chi University, Taiwan.

·         Title: Development of Quality of Life questionnaire in Stroke patients, Health region 4, Thailand delivered by Ananya Manit, King Narai Hospital, Thailand.

·         Title: Heavy metals and atherosclerosis; it is time to start talking about new risk factors given by Sergio Mejia Viana, St Bernard Hospital, Gibraltar, Spain.

·         Title: Association of FTO and IRX3 genetic variants to obesity risk in north India presented by Neena Srivastava, King George’s Medical University, India.

·         Title: Diagnostic Challenges in Systemic Lupus Erythematosus and Antiphospholipid

Syndrome shared by Ljudmila Stojanovich, Belgrade University, Serbia.

·         Title: Role of TRPV4 calcium-permeable channel in atherogenesis lectured by Shaik O Rahaman, University of Maryland, USA.

·         Title: Pain reduction and functionality of knee osteoarthritis through a 3D bio printing device enriched of Bone Marrow Mesenchymal Stem Cells (MSC) in 10 patients over the age of 50 shared by Joe Loui Carrillo, Council of Orthopedics & Traumatology, Mexico.

·         Title: The lymphedemas as chronic diseases lectured by Pierre Bourgeois, University Libre de Bruxelles, Belgium.

Pulsus Group has taken the privilege of felicitating Chronic Diseases 2017 Organizing Committee and Keynote Speakers who supported and contributed for the success of this event. Pulsus Group, congratulate the Best Poster awardee Joren Buekers, Flemish Institute for Technological Research, Belgium.

We are glad to inform that all accepted abstracts for the conference have been indexed in Pulsus Journal, Journal of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease as a special issue.

We sincerely thank the Organizing Committee Members, Participants and Media Partners for their gracious presence and generous support, without which the conference would not have reached the pinnacle of success. With the unique feedback from the conference, Pulsus Group would like to announce the commencement of the “2nd International Conference on Chronic Diseases” during June 25-26, 2018 in Berlin, Germany.
