Neuro-2013 Report
On June 17-19, 2013 OMICS Group hosted the 2nd International Conference and Exhibition on Neurology & Therapeutics in Hilton Chicago/Northbrook, Chicago, USA. OMICS feels proud to present to you the outcome and result of this conference.
The conference started with an opening ceremony followed by the keynote sessions. The keynote speakers for the session were: Ahmad Salehi, Stanford University, USA, Giulio M. Pasinetti, Mount Sinai Hospital, USA, Guang-Xian Zhang, Thomas Jefferson University, USA, Simon Kaja, University of Missouri, USA, and Moses Rodriguez Mayo Clinic, USA.
All the keynote sessions, other sessions, workshops, symposium, and student poster presentations focused on the specific theme of the conference “Emerging Trends in Neurological Therapeutics.” The theme roofed a broad range of topics including: The Therapeutic Aspects of Molecular and Cellular Neuroscience, Somatic and Autonomic Nervous System, Neurodegenerative and Movement Disorders, Novel Research In Neurological Medicine and Trauma, Application of Computational Neuroscience, Neurological Assessment Systems, Neuro-Oncology, Neurology and Current Research, Nanotechnology and Biomarkers: Future Prospect for Drug Discovery, Case studies of Different Neurological Disorders, Biofeedback and Neuromarketing. The theme of the conference spurred the sessions and provided an insightful and excellent knowledge on the upcoming advances, research, and technology in neurology therapeutics.
On day 1, Giulio M. Pasinetti conducted a symposium on “Development of natural compound for treatment of neurodegenerative disorders.” OMICS gave him an award for his excellence in academic and research activities. On day 2, a workshop on “Neuro Immunology” was taken up by Guang-Xian Zhang, Thomas Jefferson University, USA. Both the workshop and the symposium discussed the major breakthroughs and developments in the field of neurology.
The conference also provided an exclusive environment to the students for their development of research and gave them an opportunity to raise the profile of their research by poster presentations. Best poster awards were also given by the student council.
