Recommended Conferences for Usher syndrome

Usher syndrome

As per the report Eye Disorders has 16 Journals, 11 upcoming Conferences, 494 Conference proceedings, 190 Speakers related to the eye and vision. Usher syndrome is a rare recessive genetic disorder characterized by deafness and a gradual loss of vision. The cause of deafness is an improperly developed inner ear and the loss of vision is caused by the gradual deterioration of the light sensitive retinal cells of the eye, followed by cataracts. Though it has been observed that some people with this disease retain some central vision, most lose their sense of vision in the first few decades of their life. There are three clinical types of usher syndrome. Types I and II are the most common and occurrences of type III is rare

OMICS International Organizes 1000+ Global Events Every Year across USA, Europe & Asia with support from 1000 more scientific societies and Publishes 700+ Open access journals which contains over 100000 eminent personalities, reputed scientists as editorial board and organizing committee members. Scope and Importance:

Vision loss in Usher syndrome is also called as retinitis pigmentosa. First described by a British ophthalmologist, Charles Usher, in 1914, this disease is seen in four out of every 100000 children in the United states alone. There are about 400,000 such people suffering from this disease all over the world. Vision loss occurs as the light-sensing cells of the retina slowly deteriorate. Night vision loss begins first, followed by impulsive marks that develop in the side vision. Over time, these blind spots enlarge and merge to produce tunnel vision. In a few cases of Usher syndrome, sight is also disabled by clouding of the lens of the eye (cataracts). Many people with retinitis pigmentosa retain some central vision across their life. Analyst have identified three major types of Usher syndrome, classify as types I, II, and III.

Eye conference aims at bringing together leading academic scientists, researchers and research scholars to exchange and share their experiences and research results about all aspects of:

1. Eye Diseases and Treatment

2. Cornea and Corneal Diseases&

3. Vision Science and Optometry

Market research:

The funding for research for Usher syndrome was 1.9 Mn in 2009 and has slowly risen to 3 Mn in 2012. This is estimated to increase to about 10 Mn by the end of the decade. The best therapy available for Usher syndrome in the market currently is the cochlear implant therapy. There are many clinical trials underway for this disease and a few companies have been working on gene therapy to understand the disease progression and identify the genetic variations.
