Trident Laser is a high power, sub-petawatt class, solid-state laser facility located at Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL website), in Los Alamos, New Mexico, originally built in the late 1980s for Inertial confinement fusion (ICF) research by KMS Fusion, founded by Kip Siegel, in Ann Arbor, Michigan, it was later moved to Los Alamos in the early 1990s to be used in ICF and materials research. The Trident Laser Facility has been opened up to external users via the Trident National User Program and potential users can now submit proposals for laser time.
OMICS International Organizes 1000+ Global Events Every Year across USA, Europe & Asia with support from 1000 more scientific societies and Publishes 700+ Open access journals which contains over 100000 eminent personalities, reputed scientists as editorial board and organizing committee members. The conference series website will provide you list and details about the conferences organize worldwide.
Scope and Importance:
The Trident Laser is an extremely versatile neodymium-glass laser system dedicated to high energy density physics research and fundamental laser-matter interactions. The laser system consists of three high-energy beams which can be delivered into two independent target experimental areas. The target areas are equipped with an extensive suite of diagnostics for research in ultra-intense laser matter interactions, dynamic material properties, and laser-plasma instabilities. Discoveries made at the Trident facility include laser-accelerated MeV mono-energetic ions, nonlinear kinetic plasma waves, transition between kinetic and fluid nonlinear behavior for plasma waves. Trident has achieved world records in many aspects of laser-accelerated ion research, including beam emittance, conversion efficiency, proton and ion energies are other important parameters.
Laser conference aims to bring together leading academic scientists, researchers and research scholars to exchange and share their experiences and research results about all aspects of:
1. Lasers in medicine and biology
2. Applications of lasers and LEDs
It also provides the platform for researchers, scholars and educators to present and discuss the most recent innovations, trends, and concerns, practical challenges encountered and the solutions adopted in the field of Laser technology.
As the global demand for fiber lasers has increased, manufacturers have responded by ramping up production capacity to meet demand. Vendors in the market continue to invest heavily to increase their production capacity. For instance, in 2012 alone IPG Photonics invested US$68.2 million in capital expenditure, most of which was for the expansion of its manufacturing capacity. And then there was IPG Photonics (Oxford, MA), for which revenue grew 17% to $562.4 million for the nine months ended September 30, 2014 compared to the same period in 2013 with "strong sales across IPG's entire fiber laser portfolio." The analysts forecast the Global Industrial Laser market to grow at a CAGR of 10.23% over the period 2014-2019.
