Recommended Conferences for Pre eclampsia

Pre eclampsia

Preeclampsia is a pregnancy complication characterized by high blood pressure with large amounts of protein in the urine. Elevated blood pressure is the primary symptom, but there may be others such as protein in the urine, liver or kidney abnormalities, persistent headaches, or vision changes. Breast cancer is associated with endogenous hormone levels, but the exact relationship and the underlying mechanisms remain unclear. Data from several recent epidemiological studies suggest that a woman is experiencing pre-eclampsia in their own pregnancy, or she was born to a preeclamptic pregnancy, decreased Breast cancer risk in future.
Changes in your blood vessels caused by preeclampsia may cause your capillaries to "leak" fluid into your tissues, which results in swelling. And when the tiny blood vessels in your kidneys leak, protein from your bloodstream spills into your urine. It's normal to have a small amount of protein in your urine, but more than a little bit can signal a problem. Pre-eclampsia affects up to 5% of pregnancies, and severe cases develop in about 1-2% of pregnancies.

Complications:
There is a risk the mother will develop fits called eclampsia. These fits can be life threatening for the mother and the baby, but they are rare.
Symptoms of Preeclampsia:
1. Severe or persistent headache
2. Vision changes, including double vision, blurriness, seeing spots or flashing lights, light sensitivity, or temporary loss of vision
3. Intense pain or tenderness in your upper abdomen
4. Nausea and vomiting
Preeclampsia occurs most recurrently in first pregnancies. It is more common in women who have diabetes or who are carrying twins. Some women seem to have a strong inclination to develop the disease and experience from preeclampsia with each pregnancy. Women that develop preeclampsia paradoxically seem to have reduced incidence of developing Breast cancer. But why this serious condition may have other beneficial effects is unknown. Preeclampsia is more ordinary in daughters of women who have been affected; in many cases the disease tends to run in families. Preeclampsia can be a indication of solemn problems. It may, for example, indicate that the placenta is coming off from the uterus. In some cases, untreated preeclampsia can lead to development to eclampsia, life-threatening circumstances for both mother and fetus characterized by coma and seizures. Treatment is by bed rest and sometimes medication. If that treatment is ineffective, the initiation of labor and delivery or a C-section may have to be considered. Preeclampsia always determines a short time after the baby is born.
