Importance & Scope

Industrial Engineering is concerned with the design, improvement and installation of integrated systems of men, materials and equipment. It draws upon specialized knowledge and skill in the Mathematical, Physical and Social Sciences together with the principles and methods of engineering analysis and design to specify, predict and evaluate the results to be obtained from such systems. In lean manufacturing systems, Industrial engineers work to eliminate wastes of time, money, materials, energy, and other resources.

The scope of this conference is to facilitate knowledge transfer between industrial personnel and scientific researchers on the topics related to industrial engineering and expand the boundaries.

Industrial engineering is also known as operations management, systems engineering, production engineering, manufacturing engineering or manufacturing systems engineering; a distinction that seems to depend on the viewpoint or motives of the user. . Industrial engineers use their knowledge and skills to improve systematic processes through the use of statistical analysis, interpersonal communication, design, planning, quality control, operations management, computer simulation, and problem solving.

Industrial Engineers work in many types of Industry:

  • Aerospace & Airplanes
  • Aluminum& Steel
  •  Banking

Why Dubai?

Dubai is the most populous city and emirate in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and the second largest (4,114 km2) emirate by territorial size after the capital, Abu Dhabi. Dubai has a fascinating history and a vibrant heritage that provides visitors an intriguing glimpse into Arabian culture. Dubai has emerged as a cosmopolitan metropolis that has grown steadily to become a global city and a business and cultural hub of the Middle East and the Persian Gulf region. Today, Dubai has emerged as a global city and business hub of the Persian Gulf region

Dubai has changed dramatically over the last three decades, becoming a major business centre with a more dynamic and diversified economy. Dubai enjoys a strategic location and serves as the biggest re-exporting centre in the Middle East. The International Herald Tribune has described it as "centrally-planned free-market capitalism."The Dubai economy enjoys a competitive combination of cost, market and environmental advantages that create an ideal and attractive investment climate for local and expatriate businesses alike. In fact, these advantages not only rank Dubai as the Arabian Gulf’s leading multi-purpose business center and regional hub city, but they place it at the forefront of the globe’s, dynamic and emerging market economies.
