Microbial Ecology 2017 Report

International Conference on Microbial Ecology & Eco Systems was organized during September 18-20, 2017 at Toronto, Canada. The conference was marked with the attendance of Editorial Board Members of supporting journals, Scientists, young and brilliant researchers, business delegates and talented student communities representing more than 25 countries, who made this conference fruitful and productive.

The Organizing Committee would like to thank the moderator Dr. Francois-Etienne Sylvain (Laval University, Canada) and which resulted in smooth functioning of the conference.

The conference proceeded through various scientific sessions and plenary lectures, of which the following topics were highlighted as Keynote presentations:

Gregory B Gloor - Cautionary tales from the microbiome: Finding what is real and reproducible (University of Western Ontario, Canada)

George Lazarovits- A Road Map to Finding Microbiomes that Most Contribute to Plant and Soil Health (George Lazarovits, A&L Biologicals, Canada)

Armin Schwarzbach- Tick-borne diseases: Challenge in diagnostics and therapies of chronic multiple infections(Armin Schwarzbach , ArminLabs, Germany)

Jorgen Forss- Biotreatment of textile wastewater with continuous biofilter solutions and the associated microflora  (Linnaeus University, Sweden)

Andrew M. Gordon- The ecology of tree intercropping systems in southern Ontario, Canada (University of Guelph, Canada)

Various sessions were chaired and co-chaired by: Lars Mogren, Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, Sweden; Shimaila Ali, A&L Biologicals, Canada; Carole Ayoub Moubareck, Zayed University, United Arab Emirates; Bibiana Coppotelli, Center for Research and Development in Industrial Fermentation (CINDEFI) La Plata, Argentina
