OMICS Group organized 4^th World Congress on Diabetes & Metabolism on August 14-16, 2013 at Chicago-North Shore, USA with the theme "To Translate and Harness the Novel Therapies in Diabetes". Diabetes-2013 conference has been appreciated with a huge gathering from more than 20 countries.

The members of the organizing committee sought to construe the area of Diabetics as widely as possible. The speaker and paper presentations were organized into 8 tracks and 43 sessions to cover the wide variety of topics like major advancements in the diabetic technologies.

In the keynote sessions, Charles W. Heilig, University of Florida, USA gave us a fascinating insight into “Advances in characterization of glucose transporter roles in glomerular disease”.This was followed by another keynote session on “Low-carbohydrate diets, weight loss and cardiovascular disease” by Jonathan David Buckley University of South Australia, Australia. The keynote sessions and all the other sessions were very enlightening and pitched the theme of the conference. Also, Students from different universities participated ardently in the poster presentations

Our special thanks to the editors of  Journal of Diabetes & Metabolism, Pancreatic Disorders & Therapy and Journal of Steroids & Hormonal Science and the organizing committee members, Chair and Co-Chairs for their immense support and beneficial approach.
