The 2nd International Conference on Clinical Microbiology & Microbial Genomics was hosted by the OMICS Group during September 16-17, 2013 Las Vegas, USA with the theme "To Encompass Emerging Trends in Clinical Microbiology". Tremendous response was received from the Editor in Chiefs, Editorial board members and OCM of OMICS Group Journals as well as from scientists, researchers from industries, government organizations, and students who made this conference as one of the most successful event.

The inaugural ceremony was started with a series of invited lectures delivered by both Honourable Guests and members of the Keynote forum such as Nancy Khardori Eastern Virginia medical School, USA; Eynav Klechevsky Washington University School of Medicine, USA; Tineke H. Jones Agriculture and Agri Food, Canada; Jean-Pierre Gorvel Immunology Center of Marseille-Luminy, France; Jianzhong Zhang Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, China.

All accepted abstracts have been indexed in OMICS Group Journal of Microbial & Biochemical Technology, Journal of Medical Microbiology & Diagnosis and Journal of Plant Pathology and Microbiology as a special issue.

OMICS Group International is overwhelmed with the encouragement of various outside experts, company representatives and other eminent personalities who participated in this event and facilitated the discussion forums.
