Steel Structure 2015 Report

The World Congress and Exhibition on Construction and Steel Structure was held in Dubai, UAE during November 16-18, 2015.

Steel Structure 2015 was based on the theme of “Exploring Advances in Construction and Steel Structure”. The highly exalted conference hosted by OMICS International was marked with the attendance of structural engineering experts, business & academic delegates and talented students representing more than 15 countries around the world. The conference covered every aspect and area related to the modern applications of construction and civil engineering.

The primary focus of the conference was on subjects like Construction Engineering, Design and Behavior of Steel Structures and Members, Safety Management in Construction, Earthquake resistance engineering structure, Construction Industry, Fire Safety Engineering and Design of Structures, Composite and innovative materials in buildings, Green construction, and several other prominent areas of construction  industry. The three days event implanted a firm relation of upcoming strategies in the field of Construction engineering between the scientific and the industrial community. The conceptual and applicable knowledge shared, will also foster organizational collaborations to nurture scientific accelerations. Steel Structure 2015conference is a balance between steel structures and construction and was not only novel but an excellent concept as it promoted quite a bit of cross disciplinary discussion.

A series of invited lectures by Honorable guests and members of the Keynote Forum marked the commencement of the event. Prominent people like Dr. Brian Uy  of The University of New South Wales, Australia, Dr. Khalifa Al-Jabri of Sultan Qaboos University, Oman, Mr. M Manikandan, of Gulf Consult, Kuwait, Dr. Robert Driver of University of Alberta, Canada, Dr. Zuheir Barsoum of Khalifa University, UAE, Dr. Abdul Qader S. Al-Najmi of Jordan University School of Engineering, Jordan, Dr. Sherif Mohamed of Griffith University Queensland, Australia, Dr. Eiki Yamaguchi of Kyushu Institute of Technology, Japan, Dr. Beste Cubukcuoglu of Antalya International University, Turkey, Dr. Cigdem Avci-Karatas of Yalova University, Turkey; gave their fruitful contributions in the form of highly informative presentations and made the conference an intimate yet extremely productive meeting of professionals. Additionally, in order to promote the spread of construction and civil engineering in the future scientists and engineers, a Young Researcher Forum was conducted at the conference, in which young and enthusiastic students from renowned institutions like Huazhong University of Science and Technology, China, United Arab Emirates University, UAE, National University of Malaysia, Malaysia have participated. We also want to put on record our appreciation to every single delegate who had been present at this international congress.
